Jefferson Aver is the creative force behind Aver Design, a studio driven by material research and continuous experimentation. His work explores the intrinsic nature of matter, transforming it into lighting and sculptural objects that exist at the threshold between art and design.
Deeply connected to brazilian landscape, the practice engages deeply with local resources, particularly natural stones such as quartz and selenite, allowing their origin, structure and imperfections to guide the creative process. Each piece emerges from an intimate dialogue with the material, where form is not imposed, but revealed.
The studio develops its work from the inside out, investigating and redefining production processes through direct engagement with raw matter. This approach often leads to unconventional techniques, where experimentation becomes inseparable from creation. Observation of nature, its formations, balances and silent logic informs a contemplative and introspective methodology.
Working with mineral materials requires a continuous involvement with their source. From extraction to transformation, the process is approached with attention to environmental responsibility and a deep respect for the knowledge embedded in artisanal practices.
Based in Caxias do Sul, in southern Brazil, the studio brings together a multidisciplinary team of artisans and specialists. All pieces are conceived and produced in-house, through a combination of metalwork, ceramics, painting and sculpture. This meticulous, small-scale production ensures precision, consistency and a strong sculptural presence.
We currently market the brand in lighting boutiques in all regions of Brazil. We are present in many projects by prestigious professionals in the architecture and interiors market. We also have a strong international presence, with projects carried out in a long list of countries: the United States, Mexico, England, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Wales, Latvia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Peru and Bolivia.
